Site Superintendent

About the role

Prysmian is seeking a Site Superintendent to lead pre‑lay and cable‑lay activities for power cable systems at its Milan headquarters. The role acts as the main liaison between the customer, civil‑works contractors, and cable‑laying subcontractors, ensuring that all on‑site operations are executed safely, on schedule, and to contract specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate pre‑lay activities, acting as the focal point for the customer and third‑party contractors.
• Plan and monitor civil‑works execution and cable‑laying operations, checking quality and timing.
• Supervise subcontractors during laying and back‑filling, ensuring proper cable protection.
• Maintain a daily diary of on‑site activities and manage subcontractor performance.
• Oversee site logistics, assets, technical aspects, and HSE management.
• Enforce safety rules to minimize accidents and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
• Support the preparation of method statements and related documentation in collaboration with Installation Engineering.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and Italian; German is a plus.
• Up to 5 years of experience in a construction‑site environment.
• Willingness to spend 60‑70 % of the year abroad on site.
• Valid driving licence.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
