Solution Lead - Merchant Solutions

About the role

Fiserv, a global leader in Fintech and payments, is hiring a Solution Lead for its Merchant Solutions team. The role defines, designs and leads end-to-end merchant acquiring and payment solutions for banks, fintechs, payment service providers and merchants, acting as the primary solution authority across client engagements. It covers acquiring platforms, payment gateways, switching, settlement and value-added services.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end merchant acquiring solution across the project lifecycle.
• Lead solution architecture discussions and define target-state operating models.
• Evaluate client requirements and align them with platform capabilities and product roadmaps.
• Design scalable solutions covering merchant acquiring, payment gateways, authorization and switching, scheme clearing and settlement, merchant pricing and billing, reconciliation and reporting, fraud management, digital commerce and value-added services.
• Ensure compliance with card scheme, regulatory, security and operational requirements.
• Act as trusted advisor for strategic client engagements, lead client workshops, solution reviews and executive presentations.
• Guide clients on acquiring transformation, modernization, migration and market expansion, and present options, risks, assumptions and recommendations to client leadership.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in Payments, Banking Technology or Merchant Acquiring.
• 5+ years in Solution Architecture, Solution Consulting or Solution Leadership roles.
• Demonstrated experience delivering complex acquiring or payment transformation programs.
• Strong customer-facing consulting experience with financial institutions or payment providers.

Required skills

• Extensive SME functional knowledge of merchant acquiring solutions, including payment gateways, authorization switches, scheme clearing and settlements, merchant pricing, interchange and scheme fees, and financial reconciliations.
• Analytical skills and understanding of industry metrics and trends.
