About the role

The University of Miami’s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute is seeking a full‑time Surgery Services Representative 2 to support surgical operations in Naples, FL. The role ensures smooth scheduling, accurate record‑keeping, and excellent patient experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire operating‑room schedules and reconcile surgical and anesthesia records.
• Verify insurance information and obtain missing data as needed.
• Collaborate with billing staff and physicians to maintain complete, compliant medical records.
• Organize charge records by batching patient files by date of service.
• Respond to and resolve complex customer grievances.
• Follow university and unit policies, safeguarding assets.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or licenses as required by the department.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in a healthcare administrative setting.
• Demonstrated learning agility, teamwork, and strong written and verbal communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency with office software and related computer applications.
