System Engineer – Analysis & Improvement

About the role

We are looking for a System Engineer who will lead root‑cause analysis and drive continuous improvement of our e‑mobility charging solutions. You will work closely with R&D, data science and field service teams to translate findings into actionable system and product requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform root‑cause analysis, define containment, corrective and preventive actions from concept to implementation.
• Contribute to early‑failure detection algorithms, diagnostics and monitoring software.
• Analyze service tickets, field feedback and system logs to identify product‑level issues.
• Diagnose hardware, power‑electronics and mechanical failures on returned units.
• Classify faults by frequency, root cause, severity and customer impact.
• Support R&D in quality‑claim investigations and the 8D process.
• Provide clear technical repair instructions to internal and external repair centers.
• Collaborate with the Data Science & Analysis team to leverage fleet data for trend analysis.

Required profile

• MSc in Electronics Engineering or equivalent with strong knowledge of power electronics.
• Professional experience in R&D or System Engineering, understanding design, validation and cross‑functional processes.
• Proficiency in C programming for embedded microcontrollers and familiarity with microcontroller architectures.
• Experience with simulation tools such as Matlab/Simulink and hardware dimensioning tools like SPICE.
• Strong problem‑solving skills (8D, Ishikawa, 5 Whys) and corrective‑action management.
• Good knowledge of statistics, data analysis, ERP, CAD and FEM tools.
• Excellent analytical thinking, proactive attitude and ability to work autonomously.
• Fluent in English and proficient in Italian and/or German.
