Tax Manager – Direct Tax (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Manager (Direct Tax) to lead international direct tax operations across multiple jurisdictions. The role is fully remote and combines technical tax expertise with strategic thinking to ensure compliance, optimise processes and support the company’s global growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee global direct tax compliance, preparing and filing corporate income tax, withholding tax and other direct tax returns on time.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors to manage filings, documentation and reporting obligations.
• Identify and mitigate direct tax risks, maintain relationships with tax authorities and support tax audits.
• Provide strategic tax advice on international transactions, corporate structures and expansion activities.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in international tax legislation, treaties and EU directives.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, HR and other functions to ensure seamless tax reporting.
• Mentor tax professionals and drive process improvements through automation and AI‑enabled solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in international direct taxation within a multinational or professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of global corporate tax regulations, cross‑border taxation, tax treaties and EU directives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Accounting, Finance or related field; advanced tax qualification is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and lead or mentor tax teams.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent English; additional languages are advantageous.
