Tax Manager

About the role

Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a Tax Manager to lead tax engagements for its growing client base. The role combines client relationship management, technical tax expertise, and team leadership in a dynamic, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assume primary responsibility for client engagements, including planning, staffing, timing, and technical decisions.
• Oversee completion of engagements, identify and resolve problem areas with minimal supervision.
• Conduct thorough engagement reviews and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate Supervisors, Senior Accountants, and Staff, fostering professional development.
• Assist Principals and Partners in identifying and pursuing new client opportunities.
• Promote the firm’s brand through conference panels, publications, recruiting events, and trainings.
• Develop and strengthen client relationships through responsive, service‑oriented interactions.
• Enhance industry knowledge through targeted training and contribute to office profitability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (advanced degree a plus).
• 3–7+ years of experience in public accounting or a comparable blend of education and experience.
• Active CPA license.
• Expert understanding of accounting and tax regulations.
