Technician (Occupational Health & Safety)

About the role

The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) is seeking a Technician specialized in Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) to support its multicultural environment. The role involves ensuring compliance with Italian and EU health and safety regulations across projects and providing technical expertise in safety management.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce Italian and EU health and safety regulations on site.
• Prepare, review and submit safety reports and documentation.
• Utilize OHS management software to track incidents, risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Support the design and implementation of safety procedures using 2D/3D CAD tools.
• Collaborate with project teams to promote a safe working environment and conduct safety trainings.

Required profile

• Higher vocational training with at least 3 years of experience in occupational health and safety, industrial or environmental engineering, or related fields. Alternative: secondary education with 5 years relevant experience.
• Recognized health and safety certification (e.g., Italian RSPP/ASPP or equivalent).
• Strong communication, organizational and reporting abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OHS management software.
• Knowledge of 2D/3D CAD software – AutoCAD and/or SketchUp.
• Familiarity with Italian and EU health and safety regulations.
