Testing Engineer – R&D Validation

About the role

Manitou Group is seeking a Testing Engineer to join its R&D team in Castelfranco Emilia, Italy. Reporting to the Prototype and Testing Manager, you will ensure the reliability, safety and performance of our machines through rigorous validation and testing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead validation phases for hydraulic components and machine transmissions, collaborating closely with key suppliers.
• Plan, execute and monitor endurance tests to verify long‑term durability.
• Validate load diagrams, overload stability and platform stability to meet safety standards.
• Conduct performance tests covering weighing, vibration, noise, visibility and operator comfort.
• Perform field diagnostics to identify and resolve structural issues.
• Provide technical expertise and support to fellow team members.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Approximately 3 years of experience as a Test Engineer, preferably in automotive, earth‑moving or agricultural sectors.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Good command of English; French is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Structural and stability calculations.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
• Proficiency with data‑acquisition tools such as Dewesoft, Hydrotechnik, Vbox, Vector and Kvaser.
• Experience with analog and digital sensors.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office or similar suites.
