Underwriter - Cyber & Tech PI

About the role

Zurich Insurance is seeking a Cyber/Tech Professional Indemnity Underwriter to grow its cyber portfolio in Milan. You will join the Global Specialty business, develop technical underwriting expertise and work closely with senior underwriters, brokers and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of the Cyber/Tech PI underwriting plan in Milan, ensuring sound risk selection, pricing discipline and portfolio performance.
• Underwrite a mix of mid‑market and more complex Cyber/Tech PI risks in line with appetite, guidelines and pricing frameworks.
• Assist senior underwriters on larger or complex accounts, handling data gathering, analysis, quote preparation and documentation.
• Use tools, data and portfolio insights to inform underwriting decisions and identify trends.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and customers, acting as the primary point of contact for day‑to‑day enquiries.
• Collaborate with claims, actuarial, portfolio management and operations teams to ensure effective case handling.

Required profile

• Experience as a Cyber/Tech PI Underwriter, Cyber Broker or in a related line with a strong interest in specializing in cyber.
• Good understanding of Cyber/Tech PI risks, exposures, controls and coverages, or the ability to acquire this knowledge quickly.
• Commercial awareness and insight into how underwriting decisions impact portfolio performance and profitability.
• Positive trading mindset, confidence to engage with brokers, initiative and collaborative approach.

What we offer

• Base salary starting from €35,000 per year.
