About the role
Our Veterinary Student Externship offers 3rd‑ and 4th‑year veterinary medicine students a hands‑on learning experience at an UrgentVet hospital in Naples. The two‑week program immerses participants in both inpatient and outpatient care under direct supervision of our veterinary team.
Key responsibilities
- Provide medical care to hospitalized and ambulatory patients.
- Perform in‑house diagnostic tests, including hematology, clinical chemistry, and radiology.
- Educate clients on routine care and treatment plans.
- Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures.
Required profile
- Currently enrolled in an AVMA‑accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program.
- Open‑minded, eager to learn, and able to work under supervision.
Required skills
- Competence in performing hematology, clinical chemistry, and radiology tests.
- Basic surgical assistance techniques.
