Warehouse Operational Support Specialist

About the role

JD Logistics is expanding its core infrastructure in Italy and needs a Warehouse Operational Support Specialist to lead the procurement and site‑readiness phase for its new Milan facilities. The role bridges global headquarters and local operations, ensuring a smooth launch and ongoing operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end local procurement of critical indirect supplies such as warehouse consumables, IT hardware, PDAs, safety equipment, and facility services.
• Negotiate and secure contracts with Spanish and Italian vendors, building a cost‑effective supplier network that complies with corporate guidelines.
• Oversee administrative setup and coordinate with local teams to align processes with global standards.
• Track post‑launch site KPIs, optimize resources, and resolve supply‑chain bottlenecks on the floor.
• Provide real‑time technical reporting and maintain alignment between Milan operations and centralized corporate teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting greenfield site launches, corporate relocations, or similar large‑scale procurement projects.
• Strong ability to work autonomously in a fast‑changing environment and establish local processes from scratch.
• Excellent communication skills to act as a bridge between local and global stakeholders.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Italian or Spanish is a plus.
