Communications Manager – Splendido Hotel, Portofino

About the role

The Communications Manager will lead all communication activities for Belmond’s two Portofino properties – Splendido and Splendido Mare. Reporting to the Divisional Brand and Marketing Director and the Communications Director, you will ensure the brand story reaches guests, media and key opinion leaders worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute property communication plans aligned with global and divisional goals.
• Serve as the primary liaison for internal stakeholders, coordinating visibility for property and divisional initiatives.
• Manage media and KOL relationships, expand the contact database, and pitch journalists to achieve press targets.
• Organise media trips, single visits, and produce press materials such as releases and news updates.
• Support the creation and production of property events, cultivating new partner relationships and curating attendee lists.
• Collaborate with Divisional Social Media Managers to align communication plans across channels and grow the brand‑advocate community.
• Assist the Marketing team with photo shoots and the implementation of marketing projects.

Required profile

• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to act as a key point of contact for internal teams.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
