Host/Hostess – Luxury Hotel Restaurant

About the role

As a Host/Hostess at Six Senses Rome you will be the first point of contact for guests, embodying the brand’s commitment to emotional hospitality, sustainability and wellness. You will ensure a seamless dining experience by managing reservations, greeting guests, and supporting the restaurant team.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests courteously and manage the flow of seating.
• Review bookings, adjust seating plans and escort guests to their tables.
• Answer telephone inquiries in line with departmental standards.
• Take food and beverage orders, present menus and wine lists, and suggest upsells.
• Inspect menu and wine list condition, maintain cleanliness of all service equipment.
• Prepare mise‑en‑place before service and ensure all outlets are ready for operation.
• Uphold Six Senses service guidelines, LQA standards and brand initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality diploma preferred.
• 1‑3 years experience in a full‑service restaurant or similar luxury hospitality setting.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or valid food‑handler permit as required locally.
• Fluent in English and Italian; additional languages a plus.
• Eligible to work in Italy.
