Internal Auditor – Risk & Compliance (Italy)

About the role

As an Internal Auditor for Cedacri, you will support the design and execution of risk‑based audit programmes across the group’s operational areas. You will evaluate internal controls, identify gaps, and propose improvements to strengthen governance and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and implement audit plans covering operational, compliance and financial audits.
• Conduct audit reviews using the Internal Audit Function’s methodology.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and organisational procedures.
• Document findings in clear reports, highlighting critical issues for the Chief Audit Executive.
• Provide actionable recommendations to improve controls, processes and risk management.
• Monitor remediation actions and follow‑up on audit recommendations.
• Collaborate with external auditors and advisors as needed.
• Assist in drafting and updating audit policies, procedures and operational instructions.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics or Management Engineering with honours.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in internal audit, financial institutions or leading consulting firms.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail and teamwork orientation.
• Motivation and passion for internal audit and compliance.

Required skills

• Business intelligence and data analytics.
• Knowledge of internal audit, risk management, governance, accounting, planning and control.
• Understanding of main banking and industrial business processes.
• Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
• Proficient use of the Microsoft Office suite.
• English language at intermediate level (B2 CEFR).
