NATO Defense College Internship – 2027

About the role

The NATO Defense College (NDC) offers a 2027 internship for students and recent graduates who want to gain hands‑on experience in a political and military alliance that promotes freedom and security. Interns work in an academic environment alongside international professionals and subject‑matter experts.

Key responsibilities

• Support research projects on transatlantic security issues.
• Assist in preparing briefing materials and educational content.
• Engage with NATO stakeholders and contribute to outreach activities.
• Perform administrative tasks related to internship coordination.

Required profile

• At least 21 years old on the application deadline.
• Citizen of a NATO member country.
• Completed at least two years of university study and currently enrolled in a third year, or hold a degree obtained within the past year.
• Proficiency in English or French; knowledge of the second language is an asset.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and research abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English (or French).
