Retail Excellence Director – EMEA

About the role

As the EMEA Retail Excellence Director for Gucci, you will lead the strategic transformation of the retail experience across the region. You will be responsible for aligning retail performance, operations, training, product care, aftersales, and store optimisation with global brand standards while adapting to local market needs.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Retail Excellence strategy and roadmap in line with global and regional priorities.
• Guide cross‑functional teams, ensuring strong execution, data‑driven decision‑making and talent development.
• Review and optimise store structures, identify efficiency gaps and implement front‑ and back‑of‑house improvements.
• Lead customer‑centric performance initiatives such as RED and NPS, monitor KPIs, incentives and commercial targets.
• Act as regional expert for performance tools (NPS, Mystery Shopping, BI4YOU dashboards, LUCE, Retail 360, Target Setting Tool, MTT, contests) and ensure their adoption.
• Oversee operational excellence for store openings, remodels, relocations and closures, ensuring consistency and compliance.
• Coordinate local performance initiatives, contests and action plans, measuring results and ensuring sustainability.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in luxury retail or a comparable high‑end retail environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of partnering with regional and global teams.
• Track record of driving operational efficiency and commercial results at a regional scale.

Required skills

• Experience with NPS and Mystery Shopping programmes.
• Proficiency in BI4YOU dashboards and Retail 360 analytics.
• Familiarity with LUCE, Target Setting Tool and MTT performance platforms.
