Transportation Logistics Specialist

About the role

ST is seeking a Transportation Logistics Specialist to manage import and export processes, ensure compliance with customs regulations, and support trade operations across its global network. The role involves coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate records, and advising internal teams on customs and shipping matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide instructions for customs declarations (definitive, temporary, transit) for import and export clearance.
• Update STM systems with outbound shipment data, including invoicing and air waybill information.
• Send pre‑alerts for manufacturing shipments via express couriers.
• Verify export validation (MRN closure) and maintain records for all import and export activities.
• Support trade compliance for dual‑use goods by applying correct export licenses.
• Advise internal stakeholders on customs and shipping topics.
• Create air waybills for express couriers and manage special registers for repair goods.
• Maintain VAT exemption declarations and archive customs documents for five years.
• Provide monthly/quarterly reports on import‑export operations and export‑license usage.
• Check and correct customs entries and manage revisions for inaccurate declarations.

Required profile

• Diploma in economics, logistics, commercial studies or equivalent.
• Fluent written and spoken English; French is a plus.
• Experience in freight forwarding and logistics within a multinational environment.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and ability to work under pressure in a multitask setting.
• Effective time management, sense of urgency, and flexibility to meet daily targets.
• Empathetic and positive attitude when handling daily requests.
