About the role

Turing is seeking a Contract Law and Commercial Transactions specialist to evaluate AI-generated responses to U.S. contract law scenarios. This remote freelance position involves applying your legal expertise to help fine‑tune large language models, ensuring they reason correctly about contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated answers to contract law hypotheticals, including formation, breach, UCC Article 2 disputes, and damages.
• Apply a structured legal rubric to assess issue spotting, accuracy of common‑law and UCC principles, and proper contract interpretation.
• Identify gaps in AI reasoning around consideration, conditions precedent, anticipatory repudiation, liquidated damages, and third‑party beneficiary rights.
• Provide detailed annotations and written feedback to improve model performance.
• Collaborate with researchers and project managers to align evaluation standards and project goals.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Active or inactive bar admission.
• Minimum 3 years of U.S. legal practice in contract law, commercial transactions, or commercial litigation.
• Strong reasoning skills across common‑law contracts, UCC, and commercial agreements.
• Excellent written communication and meticulous attention to detail.
• High ethical standards; interest in AI is a plus.
