Store Manager - Via Del Babiuno, Rome

About the role

ALO, a yoga studio chain, is looking for a Store Manager for its Via Del Babiuno location in Rome. The Store Manager leads, manages and develops all aspects of the store's business, creates a positive and productive work environment aligned with the company's mission, and is accountable for sales and profitability goals, operational objectives, merchandising standards and the Sales, Operations and Visual team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the store's retail strategies, using local market knowledge of the clientele and competitors and awareness of business trends.
• Use KPIs to drive business strategies and lead the team with company tools, incentives and strategies to meet sales goals.
• Make sure the team communicates the company's mission clearly to visitors, and foster growth, accountability and inclusivity through development, performance management, training and coaching.
• Analyse talent, set career progression plans and build internal and external pipelines through succession planning and recruitment.
• Oversee the Sales, Service, Operations and Visual managers and support operational and visual guidelines, championing strong visual standards on the sales floor.
• Support a safe work environment and efficient operations, and collaborate with cross-functional partners while acting as a brand ambassador.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in retail or a related industry.
• Business owner mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, independent work ethic, time management and personal accountability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand and move for a full shift.
• Right to live and work in the country from the start of employment.
• Availability for opening, closing and weekend shifts, including Black Friday through the end of the holiday season and the first week of January.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Agility in handling multiple tasks in a changing environment.
