Operations Associate (20/25 Hours) - Via del Babuino, Rome

About the role

ALO, a yoga studio brand, is hiring an Operations Associate for its store on Via del Babuino in Rome, working 20 to 25 hours per week. The role is central to the store team and drives profitability and efficiency, working closely with the Operations & Visual Manager and Operations Lead to complete work and give feedback so that store operations run optimally.

Key responsibilities

• Run inventory management processes to maximize accuracy and reduce shrink, and investigate accuracy issues with the General Manager to fix process or system gaps
• Support shipment, receiving, processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day replenishment, floor set updates and supply management
• Maintain strong visual standards on the sales floor and support reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendors, technology and facilities
• Keep stockroom standards high and support a safe, efficient workplace
• Move around the retail floor to meet the needs of the business, team and guests, and help with visual merchandising placement and daily replenishment
• Use metrics to support business strategy, resolve client needs quickly and communicate inventory needs
• Carry out operations-focused directives and projects with the Operations & Visual Manager and Operations Lead, and support Sales & Service and the Cashier as needed

Required profile

• Preferred prior experience in a client-centric, sales and operational environment
• Passion for customer service and the ability to stay upbeat and energetic
• Self-motivated, empathetic and able to build trusting relationships
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand and move for a full shift
• Right to live and work in Italy from the start of employment

Schedules include morning, evening and weekend shifts, and employees are expected to work from Black Friday through the end of the holiday season until the first week of January. The company states it is an equal opportunity employer and is open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
