Associate Team Leader – Data & Analytics

About the role

Oliver Wyman’s Data & Analytics (DNA) division is seeking an Associate Team Leader to manage client projects across multiple industries. The role combines quantitative analysis, client interaction and team leadership, offering a steep learning curve and international travel opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a single client project at a time, developing hypotheses, managing data collection, model creation and analysis.
• Oversee analysts, ensure high‑quality deliverables, and coach both Oliver Wyman and client team members.
• Collaborate with partners and internal networks to provide technical and senior‑level guidance.
• Maintain a positive work‑life balance for the team and manage project timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering).
• At least 3 years of experience in specialized consulting, top‑tier banking or financial institutions with a focus on data analytics, credit risk, financial modelling or machine learning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Italian and English.
• Willingness to travel regularly (≈50% on‑site).

Required skills

• Advanced analytics and data manipulation using R, Python, SAS, SQL or SPSS.
