Senior Consultant – AI & Advanced Technology

About the role

Marsh Risk is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Risk Advanced Technology practice in Rome. The role is hybrid and focuses on applying AI, machine learning, process mining and business intelligence to transform risk management for public and private clients.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients in designing integrated risk frameworks and digitising risk processes.
• Analyse, map and redesign business processes to uncover inefficiencies, control gaps and automation opportunities, especially AI‑enabled initiatives.
• Gather and formalise business and functional requirements, creating roadmaps for technology‑driven solutions.
• Design and implement AI use cases that improve efficiency, strengthen controls and enhance decision‑making.
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, audit and technology stakeholders to ensure alignment with governance and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver projects across the full lifecycle, from current‑state analysis to testing, go‑live and change management.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal methodologies and thought leadership.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field with strong academic results.
• Proven consulting experience in AI‑enabled business transformation, process reengineering and operating model redesign.
• Experience gathering requirements, drafting functional specifications and supporting technology implementations.
• Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.

• Permanent contract with a starting gross annual salary of €32,000, negotiable based on experience.
