Contract Officer – Legal Technical Contracts (Milan)

About the role

Metlen Energy & Metals is seeking a motivated Contract Officer to join its Legal Technical Contracts team within the Legal, Contracts & Compliance General Division in Milan. The role supports the management and execution of construction, supply and O&M contracts for the Italian entities and project portfolio, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of commercial terms and conditions of implemented contracts and transfer knowledge to the wider project team.
• Assist in drafting, negotiating, reviewing and finalising commercial and supply contracts.
• Prepare contract amendments and variations, manage signature collection, delivery and archiving of executed documents.
• Coordinate with project and legal teams to obtain sign‑off and execute contracts and corporate documents such as powers of attorney and board resolutions.
• Report, list, transmit and oversee the management of legal, administrative, permitting and construction issues.

Required profile

• Motivated professional with strong interest in contract management and legal documentation.
• Ability to understand and communicate commercial contract terms to multidisciplinary teams.
• Detail‑oriented with good organisational skills for document handling and archiving.
• Effective communicator able to coordinate with project, legal and compliance stakeholders.
