Device Trading Manager (Telecoms) Europe

About the role

Assurant is hiring a Device Trading Manager for its Telecoms business unit in Europe, based in Milan with a hybrid arrangement (time in the Milan office and the option to work from home). Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager Europe, you will manage device sales opportunities and purchasing requirements across European markets for external and internal channels, working with supply chain operations, commercial teams and supplier partners so that products are available at the right time, at the right value and in line with client and business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast, plan and manage purchasing activity across European channels in line with customer demand and business priorities.
• Build effective supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement in quality, fulfilment and service through regular performance feedback.
• Negotiate purchase and sale pricing and commercial terms, tracking value delivered across suppliers and categories.
• Manage purchase and sales administration, stock ageing and device lifecycles to reduce obsolescence and maximise commercial value.
• Develop demand planning approaches that support timely procurement and effective inventory decisions.
• Identify device sales opportunities and partner with commercial teams on new business, providing analysis and supply chain input.
• Support sales and revenue performance by using data, market insight and commercial judgement to improve efficiency and manage risk.
• Contribute ideas that support new channels, evolving product requirements and changing customer needs.

Required profile

• Experience in supply chain trading, purchasing, procurement, commercial trading or a related field.
• Essential experience in the telecommunications, mobile phone or consumer electronics market, using market insight to identify trends or opportunities.
• Experience negotiating pricing, commercial terms or service agreements with suppliers or partners.
• Strong analytical skills, confident using data to support decisions and track commercial outcomes.
• Collaborative communication style, able to build trusted relationships across countries and cultures; organised, detail-focused and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Professional English; additional European languages such as Italian, Hungarian, German, Spanish or French are an advantage.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with the ability to organise, interpret and present data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook for daily activities and reporting.

What we offer

• Permanent full-time position (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday) with a base salary of EUR 42,100 - EUR 54,800 over 14 instalments.
• 10% performance bonus based on 70% company and 30% individual performance, paid March 2027 (pro-rated).
