Early Years Assistant

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Assistant to join our international school in Venice starting August 2026. The role supports the lead teacher in delivering a safe, nurturing, and inquiry‑based learning environment for children aged 2‑6, aligned with the IB PYP philosophy.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in preparing learning materials and organising classroom resources.
• Support students during inquiry‑based activities and work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Maintain classroom routines, transitions, and daily organisation.
• Promote social, emotional and physical development of students.
• Supervise indoor and outdoor activities and ensure a clean, stimulating environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, attend team meetings and contribute to school initiatives.
• Help with supervision duties during arrival, dismissal, breaks and lunch.
