Host/Hostess – Full‑time Guest Service Role

About the role

Join Marriott International as a Host/Hostess in the beautiful Isola delle Rose area of Venice. In this full‑time position you will be the first point of contact for guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth seating and dining experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, determine party size and escort them to clean, prepared tables.
• Pull out chairs, place menus, and ensure each setting includes a napkin, clean silverware and any required items.
• Arrange tables and seating for groups with special needs and monitor dining room flow.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, practice clean‑as‑you‑go procedures and keep menus current and wrinkle‑free.
• Observe safety and security policies, report incidents and complete required training.
• Maintain a professional appearance, answer telephone calls with proper etiquette and uphold confidentiality of company information.
• Support team members, develop positive working relationships and contribute to a high‑quality guest experience.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior experience required; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods.
• Capability to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Strong communication skills and a courteous, professional demeanor.
