Insurance Asset Valuation Consultant

About the role

Join Marsh Risk's Forensic Accounting and Claims Services (FACS) team in Milan as an Insurance Asset Valuation Consultant. You will support clients by collecting and analysing data, conducting site inspections and delivering unbiased valuation reports for insurance, accounting and legal purposes.

Key responsibilities

• Understand client needs, collect and validate large data sets for real‑estate and asset valuation.
• Conduct site inspections, gather evidence and estimate values of buildings, plants, machinery and equipment for insurance and tax purposes.
• Prepare accurate, verifiable valuation reports in line with industry standards and present them to clients.
• Manage client relationships and provide technical support for risk‑management strategies.
• Ensure data quality, governance and compliance with internal policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Degree in a technical discipline, preferably civil or mechanical engineering.
• Proven experience in asset valuation, ideally within insurance, finance or risk‑management contexts.
• Fluent in written and spoken Italian and English.
• Willingness to travel within Italy and abroad.
• High attention to detail, critical thinking and strong teamwork attitude.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Power Query and business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
• Familiarity with data analysis and modelling tools, and potential AI applications to improve efficiency.
