Internal Auditor – Risk & Compliance (Italy)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Internal Auditor to join our team in Italy. You will support the design and execution of risk‑based audit programmes across our group companies, ensuring robust internal controls and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement risk‑based audit plans covering operational, compliance and financial audits.
• Assess internal control environments and evaluate the effectiveness of organisational procedures.
• Prepare clear audit reports highlighting findings, gaps and improvement recommendations for the Chief Audit Executive.
• Monitor remediation actions and follow‑up on audit recommendations.
• Assist in drafting and updating audit policies, procedures and operational instructions.
• Coordinate activities and relationships with external auditors and advisors.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics or Management Engineering with honours.
• Minimum 5 years of internal audit experience in a financial institution or a leading consulting/auditing firm.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
• Intermediate English proficiency (B2 CEFR) and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Required skills

• Business intelligence and data‑analytics techniques.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of international internal audit standards and risk‑management frameworks.
