IP Legal Counsel

About the role

Maison Valentino is seeking an IP Legal Counsel to join its Milan office. The role combines legal expertise with a passion for fashion, supporting the brand’s intellectual property strategy across a global luxury environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage trademark, design, and domain name portfolios, including worldwide clearance and filing activities.
• Draft and review LOIs, NDAs, coexistence agreements, and IP licensing contracts.
• Oversee civil and criminal IP disputes, handling cease‑and‑desist letters and settlement negotiations.
• Lead brand‑protection initiatives, coordinating anti‑counterfeiting actions with external providers and authorities.
• Organise training sessions for customs, police, and financial police on IP protection.
• Provide IP support to internal teams such as Commercial and Customer Care.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law (5‑year degree).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in intellectual property within the fashion or luxury sector.
• Strong interest in IP matters and a desire to deepen expertise.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork abilities.
