Junior Buyer – Procurement of Materials & Services

About the role

The Junior Buyer supports the Purchasing team in acquiring a wide range of commodities, materials, services and equipment. You will translate purchase requisitions into SAP, negotiate offers, issue purchase orders and ensure order confirmations are received.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in supplier selection and qualification.
• Scout the market using technical specifications and distributor analysis.
• Analyse and consolidate quotes to build a supplier panel.
• Issue purchase orders in SAP and monitor supplier quality performance.
• Coordinate with the logistics planner and maintain continuous communication with suppliers.
• File, control and maintain all procurement documentation.
• Participate in daily, weekly and monthly department meetings.
• Ensure compliance with quality and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering or Economics (preferred).
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar purchasing role.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Proficiency with SAP.
• Experience in the railway sector is a plus.
