About the role

UNSW School of Psychology is seeking candidates for Lecturer, Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor positions in Psychology. The role is a two‑year fixed‑term appointment on a convertible tenure‑track, based on the vibrant UNSW campus in Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate psychology courses, including assessment and student support.
• Maintain an active research programme with a strong track record in perception or related areas.
• Contribute to the School’s teaching and service missions through curriculum development and academic service.
• Mentor students and junior staff, fostering a collaborative research environment.
• Engage with national and international scholarly communities to raise the School’s profile.

Required profile

• PhD in Psychology or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated research excellence in perception, with publications in reputable journals.
• Experience teaching psychology at the university level.
• Ability to secure research funding and lead collaborative projects.
• Commitment to inclusive teaching and community engagement.
