Legal Advisor – M&A, Regulatory & Finance

About the role

Saipem is seeking a Legal Advisor to join its General Counsel and Company Affairs function. The role focuses on supporting internal departments with complex M&A, regulatory and financing matters, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment across cross‑border transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal support for mergers, spin‑offs, and the sale or purchase of stakes in companies, business units or strategic assets, with emphasis on cross‑border deals.
• Advise on antitrust, foreign direct investment and foreign subsidies regulations.
• Handle extraordinary financing transactions, including medium‑ to long‑term loan agreements and debt capital market operations.
• Manage ordinary financing matters such as unsecured credit lines, factoring, guarantees and ISDA agreements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law and admission to the bar.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in M&A, regulatory and finance legal work.
• English language proficiency at C1 level.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience using artificial intelligence tools.
