Legal Counsel – Commercial Contracts

About the role

We are seeking a mid‑level Legal Counsel specialized in commercial contracts to join our Legal Department. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel Commercial Contracts, you will work at the core of a fast‑paced, international retail business, providing pragmatic legal support to a wide range of commercial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate diverse commercial agreements, including franchise, licensing, sales, distribution, service, purchase, logistics, IT/software licensing, SaaS and outsourcing contracts.
• Provide clear, business‑oriented legal advice to internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, company policies and best practices.
• Support management in strategic decisions related to partnerships, procurement and retail operations, and advise on contract liabilities.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Procurement and Finance teams, contributing to business discussions and aligning legal advice with commercial drivers.

Required profile

• Law degree with bar qualification and excellent academic record.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑qualification experience at a top‑tier law firm, focusing on contract law and complex commercial agreements.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Additional knowledge of company law and corporate operations is a plus.
