Legal Counsel – Commercial & Digital

About the role

OBI Italy is seeking a Legal Counsel specialized in commercial and digital matters to support its fast‑growing retail and e‑commerce operations. Reporting to the Legal & Compliance Director, you will work in a modern, international legal team handling a wide range of business initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to commercial teams on sales, supply, marketing, digital and e‑commerce projects.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts such as SPAs, website terms & conditions, sponsorship agreements, agency contracts, NDAs and settlement agreements.
• Support the implementation of international business projects and omnichannel transformation initiatives.
• Manage negotiations, customer complaints and potential disputes involving consumers.
• Advise on commercial law, consumer law, competition law, e‑commerce, digital law and intellectual property rights.
• Liaise with competent authorities and internal/external stakeholders as needed.
• Promote compliance culture through training, guidelines and monitoring activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law obtained in Italy.
• Qualified attorney (passed the Italian Bar Exam) with 3‑4 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in an international retail company or law firm serving retail clients.
• Strong knowledge of commercial, competition, marketing, consumer and digital law.
• Solid understanding of data‑protection regulations.
