Legal Counsel – Consumer Business (Outsourced)

About the role

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to support our consumer business activities in Italy. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with local and EU regulations across e‑commerce, competition, marketing, product access, GDPR and ESG matters.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure legal compliance of the company’s consumer‑facing operations, including e‑commerce, advertising and product access.
• Review, draft and negotiate contracts such as distribution agreements, sales contracts, marketing campaign agreements, NDAs and supplier agreements.
• Provide timely legal advice to business units (online sales, marketing, retail, service) and propose practical solutions.
• Assist with compliance matters related to consumer protection, data privacy, advertising and competition law.
• Collaborate with regional legal teams, headquarters legal departments and internal functions (finance, tax, HR) to align business activities with policies and regulations.
• Monitor legal developments in Italy and the EU and assess their impact on operations.
• Maintain a structured archive of legal documents.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of legal experience, preferably in technology, consumer goods or a law firm.
• Familiarity with Italian commercial, contract and consumer protection law.
• Good understanding of EU data‑privacy regulations (GDPR) is a plus.
• Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and business sense.
• Ability to handle routine and complex legal matters and deliver clear advice.
