Project Health, Safety & Environment Specialist – Greenfield (Mantova)

About the role

Join Nestlé Purina’s new greenfield manufacturing site in Mantova as a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Specialist. You will support the installation, start‑up and ongoing operation of highly automated production lines, ensuring compliance with safety legislation and Nestlé’s HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local safety legislation (d.Lgs 81/08) and Nestlé HSE standards, integrating SHE into planning and operational reviews.
• Implement risk‑management procedures according to the RSPP, monitor site safety for employees, contractors and visitors, and maintain correct signage.
• Promote high standards of health and hygiene, manage emergency medical response, and oversee safe working practices for high‑frequency risks and high‑hazard tasks.
• Provide HSE support such as exposure monitoring, health promotion, health surveillance and training.
• Participate in key meetings, support LEAN initiatives and drive continuous improvement in safety, health and environmental sustainability.

Required profile

• University degree in a technical field; engineering background preferred.
• 4‑5 years of experience in a similar HSE role within manufacturing, preferably food production.
• Knowledge of current safety legislation (d.Lgs 81/08) and experience as an Assistant to the RSPP.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
