Runner – Member Service

About the role

As a Runner at Soho House, you will be the vital link between the kitchen/bar and the dining floor, ensuring members receive swift, courteous service and a memorable experience. You will work in a dynamic, high‑profile venue, supporting the waiting staff and contributing to a polished restaurant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver food and drink orders from the kitchen or bar to members' tables promptly.
• Maintain a spotless, pristine work area and ensure tables are set up correctly for service.
• Polish cutlery, prepare table additions (lemon wraps, condiments, butter portions) and reset tables after guests leave.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including station set‑up and breakdown.
• Attend regular front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house meetings to stay updated on menu changes and specials.
• Handle member interactions with professionalism, escalating any complaints to the floor manager.
• Support VIP and PWK guests, safeguarding their privacy and confidentiality.
• Contribute to team needs on an ad‑hoc basis and uphold safety, security, and wellbeing standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a busy, high‑profile hospitality venue is preferred.
• Passion for food, drink and hospitality with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service attitude and fluent English communication.
• Organised, reliable and able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
• Physical ability to seize, grasp, turn, hold objects and occasionally kneel, bend, crouch or climb.
