Terminal Support Specialist – Domodossola

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Terminal Support Specialist to ensure efficient operation of our terminal facilities in Domodossola. The role focuses on maintaining quality, efficiency and compliance within our rail‑based logistics network.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee check‑in/check‑out procedures for trailers and ensure proper loading onto CargoBeamer wagons.
• Conduct inspections of inbound and outbound trains, documenting movements and operations.
• Inspect, maintain and repair CargoBeamer wagons and equipment to meet regulatory standards.
• Manage complaints and address Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) issues within the eLogistics system.
• Support optimisation of terminal dispatch processes and ensure Service Level 1 standards are met.
• Act as primary contact for inquiries, collaborating closely with the sales team.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Operationally manage internal and external terminal operators and maintain the railway siding.

Required profile

• Technical training completed and several years of relevant professional experience.
• Basic knowledge of business administration.
• Possession of a PDT – A Shunting Driver certificate.
• Solid understanding of rail shunting dynamics and routine maintenance of railway equipment.
• Forklift driver’s licence and proven forklift handling skills.
• Strong focus on health and safety and ability to adapt to operational demands.
• Fluency in English and Italian.
