Trainee & Newly Qualified Lawyers – Palermo (English Speaking)

About the role

TIL is hiring English‑speaking trainee and newly qualified lawyers for its Palermo office. This full‑time, on‑site position supports senior lawyers with Italian and cross‑border matters, offering a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior lawyers in drafting, reviewing and filing legal documents.
• Conduct legal research on Italian law and international regulations.
• Prepare case files and manage multiple client matters simultaneously.
• Coordinate with clients and colleagues across different jurisdictions and attend client meetings.
• Help navigate Italian procedures and bureaucracy for international clients.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and maintain high professional standards.

Required profile

• Law degree (LL.B. or equivalent) with completion of, or enrollment in, legal traineeship/practice requirements.
• Strong legal research and drafting abilities.
• Interest in cross‑border and international law, especially private international law.
• Excellent communication skills and cultural awareness.
• High ethical standards and client‑focused mindset.
• Willingness to travel for on‑site client meetings when needed.
• Residency in Palermo or Sicily is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Italian and English (additional languages a plus).
