Training and Capability Lead – S4/o9 Transformation

About the role

You will lead the design, delivery and governance of training programs for the S4/o9 transformation across the region, ensuring both technical proficiency and cultural adoption. The role partners closely with regional leadership, business units and change management teams to embed capability building into the broader transformation agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary advisor to regional leadership on the capability track of the S4/o9 transformation.
• Collaborate with BU leaders and change management leads to integrate training into the cultural shift and ensure mindset adoption.
• Identify regional risks and knowledge gaps, propose mitigation strategies, and report readiness metrics.
• Lead training activities for deployment teams, key users, SMEs and end‑users, aligning them to a unified training strategy and curriculum.
• Develop and enforce training readiness and effectiveness criteria, ensuring materials are localized and fit‑for‑purpose.
• Implement a train‑the‑trainer model and partner with MDS/SMEs to provide a data‑rich training environment.
• Create regional training schedules, track attendance and measure effectiveness.
• Leverage Digital Adoption Platforms such as WalkMe to drive user engagement and system proficiency.

Required profile

• 8+ years leading large‑scale, cross‑functional L&D, capability or transformation programs.
• Proven strategic acumen in managing the people side of multi‑country implementations.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to negotiate training priorities.
• Data‑driven analytical mindset to assess resistance and inform decisions.
• Experience designing and delivering region‑wide training programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems and rapid e‑learning development tools (e.g., WorkDay, VILT).
