Upper School Mathematics & Science Teacher

About the role

The International School of Florence is looking for an enthusiastic Upper School Mathematics & Science Teacher to join our secondary teaching team. You will design and deliver engaging lessons that inspire students to reach their full academic potential in a multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and implement a comprehensive instructional program for mathematics and science subjects.
• Deliver lessons aligned with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) where applicable.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback and adapt teaching strategies to diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in parent‑teacher conferences.

Required profile

• A relevant first‑degree and recognized teaching qualification.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.
• Experience working with learners from varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
• Commitment to an open mindset, curiosity, and dedication to student learning.
