Accountant – Hospitality (Milan)

About the role

Sunset Hospitality Group is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join the METT Milan Torre Velasca team. The role focuses on managing day‑to‑day accounting operations for a luxury hospitality project in the heart of Milan, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with Italian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and fixed‑asset transactions.
• Maintain accurate postings in line with Italian GAAP (OIC) and local regulations.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including reconciliations and adjustments.
• Prepare and file tax declarations, coordinating with external advisors as needed.
• Manage the fixed‑asset register, calculate depreciation, and track assets.
• Support statutory audits and serve as the primary contact for auditors and consultants.
• Monitor changes in accounting and tax legislation and update internal procedures.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of Italian statutory accounting (OIC) and familiarity with IFRS.
• Proficiency in Italian and good working knowledge of English.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
