Business Development Manager - Bologna (12 months)

About the role

Deliveroo is looking for a Business Development Manager based in Bologna, working on a 12-month basis. As a founding member of a growing, well-funded company, you will join the regional sales team and report to the Sales Lead, focusing on developing new relationships with restaurants and stores.

Key responsibilities

• Map, prospect, pitch and close new restaurants across the region in an organised way, acting as an area-level expert who knows the up-and-coming restaurants and which ones customers crave most.
• Support partners in joining Deliveroo and provide them with the best possible experience.
• Communicate with restaurants through physical visits, email, calls or social media to show off Deliveroo's technology.
• Help restaurant owners and managers overcome barriers or hesitations.
• Attend restaurant and food meet-ups.

Required profile

• Sales experience and comfort with targeting new business.
• Confidence or experience dealing with partners and customers face-to-face, by phone or by email.
• Experience demonstrating product and industry knowledge to clients.
• Comfort with negotiations and a tenacious approach.
• Knowledge of the restaurant industry is a significant plus.

What we offer

• Total target compensation of EUR 35,200 - 44,000 per year, with a base salary range of EUR 17,200 - 26,000, under the CCNL Commercio e Terziario (Level 4).
• The position is not eligible for an equity/RSU grant.
• An interview process of 3-4 stages.
