About the role
eBay Live is looking for a Business Development Manager to accelerate growth of its marketplace by acquiring high‑value sellers, expanding inventory, and strengthening key verticals such as collectibles and fashion. The role blends business development, analytics, negotiation, and people leadership to drive revenue and market share.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, secure, and activate high‑value sellers that align with strategic priorities.
- Execute category strategies to increase gross merchandise value (GMV) per seller and meet acquisition targets.
- Maintain a robust pipeline with accurate forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis.
- Set and evaluate revenue targets, guide budget decisions, and prioritize high‑value opportunities.
- Negotiate business terms, draft term sheets, and collaborate with Legal to finalize contracts.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to uncover emerging trends and partnership opportunities in live shopping and e‑commerce.
- Coach and develop Business Development Associates and Sales Coordinators, enhancing their selling, negotiation, and analytical capabilities.
Required profile
- Proven experience in business development, seller acquisition, or marketplace growth.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and forecast performance.
- Excellent negotiation and contract‑management skills.
- Demonstrated people‑leadership experience, including coaching and team development.
