Business Partner Director – People Experience (Italy)

About the role

The People Experience (PX) Business Partner Director will lead and oversee the PX function for all Italian offices, including remote staff. You will provide strategic direction to senior leadership, ensure full‑lifecycle employee management, and align local initiatives with global HR strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the PX function across Italy, delivering strategic guidance to managers and employees.
• Manage end‑to‑end employee lifecycle processes: hiring, onboarding, contracts, data governance, compliance, and off‑boarding.
• Design and execute talent acquisition strategies, workforce planning, and partnerships with agencies.
• Implement and govern group‑wide HR policies and regulations in collaboration with the corporate office.
• Drive organizational effectiveness initiatives such as performance management, leadership development, succession planning, and learning.
• Oversee payroll preparation, bonus programs, and compensation activities in partnership with Finance.
• Develop PX analytics and reporting to support data‑driven decisions.
• Ensure compliance with Italian labour laws and manage complex employee‑relations matters with external counsel.
• Lead continuous improvement of health & safety, office operations, and insurance management.
• Act as primary liaison with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and service providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Psychology, Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of operational HR experience.
• At least 4 years of experience managing a team.
• Experience in a mid‑size to large publicly traded company is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Italian labour legislation and compliance.
• Expertise in HR analytics and reporting.
• Proficiency in payroll and compensation processes.
