Construction Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the planning, execution and delivery of construction projects, ensuring compliance with quality standards, budget and timelines. Reporting to the Chief Real Estate, you will oversee the full project lifecycle, coordinate stakeholders and supervise site activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage construction projects to deliver on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Develop project budgets, schedules and resource plans, and monitor performance throughout the lifecycle.
• Select, negotiate and manage subcontractors, suppliers and external consultants.
• Coordinate on‑site construction activities, supervise contractors and site teams.
• Track project progress through regular schedule and work‑progress reviews (SAL) and implement corrective actions.
• Control project costs and site accounting, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
• Identify technical, operational and logistical risks and apply mitigation strategies.
• Manage design changes, variations and unforeseen site issues while minimizing delays and cost impacts.
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
• Act as primary liaison between clients, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing construction projects.
• Proven expertise in project planning, budgeting, scheduling and cost control.
• Experience handling subcontractors, suppliers and construction contracts.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building materials, structural systems and MEP installations.
• Solid understanding of work‑progress reporting (SAL), quantity surveying and cost estimation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Italian Health & Safety regulations (Legislative Decree 81/2008).
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
