Contract Manager

About the role

Huawei Europe is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to lead contract preparation and negotiation for overseas telecommunications projects. The role involves designing business models, managing risk, and supporting decision‑making throughout the contracting process.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare commercial proposals, bidding SOCs, contracts, cover letters and related documentation.
• Design appropriate contract business models to meet specific bid requirements and mitigate Huawei’s risk exposure.
• Lead contract negotiations for large‑scale turnkey and managed/maintenance service projects, acting as chief negotiator.
• Formulate and implement negotiation strategies and represent the negotiation team with clients.
• Draft contracts and participate in comprehensive contract reviews.
• Maintain familiarity with standard contract templates used in telecommunications and construction (e.g., FIDIC).
• Contribute to corporate negotiation capability by delivering training and sharing experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher with qualifications in international trade, financing, business law, project management or related fields.
• 5‑10 years of experience as a contract manager, preferably in the energy or telecommunications sector.
• Strong analytical abilities, high‑level communication and collaboration skills, and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Fluency in Italian and English.
