Contract Officer

About the role

METLEN Energy & Metals is seeking a motivated Contract Officer to join its Legal Technical Contracts team in Milan. The role supports the management and execution of construction, supply and O&M contracts for the Italian entities and project portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of commercial terms and transfer knowledge to project teams.
• Assist in drafting, negotiating, reviewing and finalising commercial and supply contracts.
• Prepare contract amendments, variations and oversee signature collection, delivery and archiving.
• Coordinate with project and legal teams for sign‑off of contracts and corporate documents such as powers of attorney and board resolutions.
• Report and manage legal‑administrative, permitting or construction issues arising from due‑diligence assessments.
• Maintain accurate contract and corporate records, monitoring signatures and documentation.
• Develop and improve check‑lists, registers, communication templates and streamline related processes.
• Participate in regular project progress meetings.

• Excellent organisational skills for managing multiple contracts and documents.
• Experience in supporting contract implementation and compliance.
