Contracts Acquisition Specialist - GCAP UK

About the role

Leonardo is recruiting a Contracts Acquisition Specialist for its involvement in the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), a next-generation air system developed with British BAE Systems and Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. The role is based in Caselle Nord, near Turin, and is permanent with hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and administer bids and contracts with a wide customer base
• Lead the commercial elements of the Life Cycle Management and Bid Approval processes
• Prepare quotations and detailed agreements, including Purchase Orders, Enabling Agreements, Technical Assistance Agreements and Service Level Agreements, supporting line managers

Required profile

• Previous experience in a commercial or contracts role
• Ability to analyse contracts and identify potential risks in contract terms
• Support to contract acquisition and bid processes
• Analytical and critical thinking, organisational and time-management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Desirable: experience in contract renewals and amendments, support to negotiation planning, customer and stakeholder relationship management, understanding of resource and budget management, and governance experience
