Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

Schneider Electric is looking for a Cybersecurity Services Engineer to design, implement and maintain security solutions for its automation systems. You will work directly with customers, product managers and automation engineers to ensure secure, reliable operation of industrial networks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for cybersecurity queries and incidents on automation solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies for Schneider Electric products.
• Configure host and network security solutions, including firewalls and network performance monitoring tools.
• Oversee network element modifications, re‑configurations and connectivity testing.
• Lead security‑focused acceptance testing and deliver end‑user training.
• Produce technical documentation and collaborate with automation engineers on advanced solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in a computer‑related field.
• One or more certifications such as CCNA Security, CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISA99 or IC32‑34.
• Experience with network topology and configuration of Cisco, Hirschmann or Schneider equipment.
• Knowledge of firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper) and high‑availability network technologies.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, LAN/WAN and Industrial Control System (OT) environments.
• Willingness to travel and participate in on‑call customer support rotations.
• Fluent in technical English and mandatory Italian.
